Frédéric Janssen joined our partnership in May 2006. He became a partner in 2011. Prior to his activities as a lawyer, he worked for the Belgian Ministry of Justice, in the areas of safety and information. Frédéric Janssen holds a degree in law (UCL 2005, First Class Honours) and a specialised master’s degree in Management Science (HEC-School of Management of the University of Liège 2007, First Class Honours). In 1996, he further attended the preparatory classes for civil engineering studies. He is guest professor at the Francisco Ferrer University College, where he teaches corporate accounting law within the framework of a Master’s degree in auditing and financial analysis. He is also senior lecturer at the HEC-School of management of the University of Liège, where he runs the Savings and insurance taxation courses as part of the specialised master’s degree in tax law. Frédéric Janssen specialises in judicial, tax and financial techniques (including the quantitative aspects) applicable to private and industrial assets.

Frédéric Janssen contributed to the writing of a work devoted to the advance rulings given by the Advance rulings department (SDA) (Rulings, Etudes des décisions anticipées publiées par le SDA de 2003 à 2010, sous la direction d’André Bailleux, Larcier, 2012) (Rulings, Studies of advance rulings published by the SDA from 2003 to 2010, under the supervision of André Bailleux, Larcier, 2012).

In 2011, he also contributed to Essays in honour of Professor Jean-Pierre Bours through the contribution of an article entitled “Opérations complexes unitaires et taxe sur la valeur ajoutée : une voie de neutralisation de l'exonération de la location immobilière“ (Complex unit operations and value added tax: a means to neutralise real estate rental exemption).
